Waves have a lot of energy, so you've got some very expensive
infrastructure
which gets wrecked continuously. This might be different with subsurface
streams, but I haven't seen a decent analysis.

matter how poorly it works. and we are running out of options
geothermal isnt nessecary easy nor is probably any other option which
sucks energy out of the ground, or conversely puts it back in to cool in
the summer, but thanks to decades of alternatives being held back for
oil interests we dont have many real options. can you name any better
options??? probably not our best bet right now is to throw everything
into a pot to try and stay afloat until we develop a good plan
