You try digging a hole a few thousand feet deep.

If geothermal were that easy we would all be doing it already. But it is 
one of the technologies being explored, like ocean waves, ocean 
temperature differentials, etc. etc. We will see how it progresses. 
There is plenty of information on it on the internet, wikipedia, etc.

Nuclear works and works now.
