Hi all,
One of the main components of the biokit is the equipment to generate
and render new sequences of DNA. On the wiki, I have described the
majority of the required components to make all of this happen-- what
chemicals to buy, where you can get them, or how to make them on your
own with enough nines to make things work out in the end (there's lots
of nine-linking going on, so watch out if you totally do it homebrew).
Tentatively, I'd say that the page looks fairly complete (albeit
disorganized), with all of the necessary steps and it gives enough of
an idea as to what a final machine should look like. I would like to
hear comments from those more experienced in oligo syntheses first
before I put an official stamp on it and start going into a clean-up
mode (the page is optimized for "research mode" at the moment).

In the broader context of the roadmap, imagine yourself editing your own
DNA, growing a clone, which then learns and becomes somewhat
intelligent, and then repeats this recursion/revisionism. I am sure
this has lots of fun correlations with the singinst guys.
