Howdy folks,
As I am on both tt and info lists, I probably should offer some more
information on this.
GreyThumb is an artificial life group that meets on a monthly basis.
The first GreyThumb was started in Boston about two years ago. I have
interviewed one of the co-founders, Brian Peltonen in March and one of
the early contributors Jon Klein twice (about fifteen months apart).
See;

Since then Justin Lyon and Bruce Damer started chapters in London and
Silicon Valley/San Francisco respectively. There are also chapters
starting in Los Angeles and the Netherlands;

If you are in those areas and would like to meet other folks
interested in artificial life, please join the mailing lists.
We are also looking to promote the formation of chapters elsewhere.
Dick Gordon (http://www.umanitoba.ca/faculties/medicine/radiology/stafflist/rgordon.html
) suggested a chapter in Second Life.
This coming Saturday (May 3) at 10am Pacific, "Creating Your Own
GreyThumb Chapter" is going to be the topic of Biota Live;

Participation in Biota Live via calling in or the chat facility
provided through BlogTalkRadio is always welcomed. If you have any
questions, please contact me directly;

Many thanks,
Tom Barbalet.
